MAGAZINE
Embark
Embark is the annual publication of the KU School of Medicine-Wichita. The third issue published at the end of 2016 and I've been involved in the conception and development since the first issue in 2014. I coordinate and edit the stories and visual content throughout the magazine. Once each issue is finished I manage the printing, digital formatting, and distribution.










CAMPAIGN
KU by the numbers
The KU School of Medicine-Wichita is a campus of the larger KU School of Medicine based in Kansas City. We educate all kinds of doctors, but we specialize in producing primary care physicians for rural Kansas. This campaign was created for social, web, and building signage as a way to educate our audiences on the difference we make toward health care in our state.






MEDIA
KU Wichita in the news
It's hard to know what stories might make it to the assignment desk once you've pitched an idea to the media. As a community-based medical school without a hospital attached or high-profile research discoveries, it can be difficult to prove ourselves interesting to local journalists. I enjoy creating new tactics for pitching stories to the media ... and love seeing that work show up on the front page.














SOCIAL
#JayhawkDocs
We needed a way to distinguish our social presence from other KU branding, specific to what we do at the medical school in Wichita. I implemented #JayhawkDocs across social platforms to identify our messages. The tag also provided a way for students to share photos with us, which we shared via social and displayed on a digital installation in the school.

JayDoc Community Clinic Package
The JayDoc Community Clinic serves our community by providing access to health care for patients who otherwise wouldn't have it, as well as giving medical students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience. I created a microsite in order to provide an engaging way to share the entire story package.
